Indulging in your presence feels like betrayal
But I meant it, I think of you often.
And laughing together breaks my heart because I miss full-body smiles.
Holding each other like pieces could fall out from the rumbling laughter.
And I know you felt it too, because you told me to go put on a pair of your shorts when I said my jeans were itching me.
It feels the same in the way it pinches my cheeks

and confuses the fuck out of me.

I genuinely forgot to give you your sweatshirt back
But I know you saw it on me as I left

and finally walked away from the fire.
